The WSCF AP carries out its work in the region through a number of committees and staff. Three committees are responsible for the leadership of the Asia-Pacific Region:
- Asia-Pacific Committee or Regional Committee
which determines the programme priorities of the region – meets every two years and is made up of staff, officers and two representatives from each of the region’s national member movements
- Regional Standing Committee
which reviews the progress and facilitates the implementation of decisions made by the Regional Committee – meets once between two Asia-Pacific Regional Committee meetings
- Regional Women’s Committee
which is responsible to review, plan and execute the women’s programme at the regional and national level – meets once between two Asia-Pacific Regional Committee meetings to set direction for the women’s and gender justice work of the region
All WSCF Asia-Pacific Regional Committees are required to have at least 50% women and 50% student representation.
The full-time staffs are the Regional Secretary and Regional Women’s Coordinator. Currently we have part-time staff for finance and volunteer for Human Rights, Justice and Peace Coordinator
