The members of the Core Team Meeting (CTM) met during April 6-7, 2011 at YMCA Youth Village, Wu Kai Sha, Hong Kong. The intent of the CTM was: to share the ongoing and future programmes and activities of the EASYNet – to evaluate the work of the coordinator and the programmes of EASYNet – 2009-2011 – to plan and execute programmes and ASYG in 2012, to prepare budget and plan on fundraising and the commitment of the coalition, appointment of the new EASYNet coordinator.
The members shared their present and future programmes and activities of their respective organizations and explored the possibilities of incorporating EASYNet into their ongoing activities. The committee also did an evaluation of the work of the coordinator and planned for the forthcoming ASYG 2012. EASYNet have been a very productive common platform for students and youth in Asia and many students and youth have benefited of this platform in various ways. Hence the committee discussed to put extra effort in terms of human and financial resources to keep up the work of EASYNet. Since one of the major concerns is the financial commitment, as the Net functions based on the meager financial contributions from the network organizations. This year in July 2011 there will be a Creative workshop jointly organized by the CCA, HKCC, EASYNet in Hong Kong to pave the way for the preparation of the ASYG 2012 and celebration of the EASYNet Week.
The CTM was attended by Somin Han (IMCS), Reyna Deloso (IYCS), Cristina Dalope, Cristina (APAYs), Moumita Biswas (CCA), Necta Montes Rocas, Sunita Suna (WSCF AP), Cristina Miranda (coordinator – EASYNet).
