August 8-11, 2003
SCM SL Annual School Camp 2003 was held at the Salvation Army Center, Hikkaduwa (Southern Province), from the 8-11 August. The theme was “Student’s Role in Reconciliation”. There were 80 students from all over the Island who participated in the school camp.
The sessions included Bible studies, inputs, workshops and games in topics such as Human Rights violations, Ethnic Conflicts, Conflict Resolution and problems in the coastal areas.
The students also had an exposure to Prisons, Rehabilitation Centres and Orphanages. There were 5 students from Norway SCM who also took part in the camp. Follow-ups on the school camp were held in all SCM SL units in September and October.
