‘Equipping Leaders as Movement Instruments towards Transformation’- with this theme Bangladesh SCM has successfully organized 20th Central Assembly followed by the Women’s Assembly from 25 February to 01 March 2009 at Caritas Bangladesh, Dhaka.
The objectives of the Assembly were aim to make realization of SCM understandings, trends and perspectives of broader relation; to identify creative thrust and enhance the leadership capacity of the participants; and to develop way forward steps based on the lessons learnt from the workshops.
Forty seven (47) participants including students, senior friends, ex central leader, Advisor and patron enlightened the workshop with their enthusiastic and valuable participation. 29 official delegates also attended the Central Assembly.
The central assembly was followed by the Central Women’s Assembly on 1st March. This was the historic assembly for Bangladesh SCM where women members have come forward to take central leadership position and now 60% are women leaders in the central committee.
The Central Assembly and Women’s Assembly elected the following officers for the year 2009-2010:
